3. He always borrowed from me, but when I once asked him to lend me  some money, he said he hadn't got it before he even knew how  much I wanted to borrow.  
4. My dog attacked the delivery man as he was taking out my purchases from his van. The man thrust a large package into the dog's mouth and of course he tore it. Unfortunately the package contained my new jacket. I patched the jacket up, but it still looks a bit odd.
